Frankly, I’m not sure the world needs another music blog. Despite these very valid concerns, Adrienne and I have embarked on a little project to document another era:

“We melted down a vintage Fender Jazzmaster (Lake Placid Blue of course), a Yamaha FX500 effects processor, a box of cassette tapes circa 1991, an unknown number of random pills from the medicine cabinet, five Boss RV-3 pedals, a pair of ‘monkey boots,’ a packet of grape Kool-Aid powder and a single strand of Kevin Shields’ hair — the resultant machine produces exactly one song a day.

And we share that one song with you right here on shoegeezer.com. Because volume is wasted on the young.”

It’s been a fun and nostalgic journey so far. Stay tuned for more.
